Call for Papers
First International Workshop on
Robotics and AI (Robotiocs&AI 2024)

Co-located with IEEE AIxSET 2024

We are excited to announce the Robotics&AI Workshop, an interdisciplinary event designed to strengthen the robust and dynamic connections between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics fields. This workshop will serve as a platform for researchers and industry professionals to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

In the last few years, there was a growing interaction between Artificial Intelligence and Robotics: the integration of AI into robotics has led to significant breakthroughs in autonomy, perception, decision-making, and interaction. On the other hand, robotics offers AI tangible applications and challenges that drive the development of more sophisticated algorithms and models. This workshop aims to deepen these connections by fostering a collaborative environment where experts from both academia and industry can converge, exchange knowledge, and inspire one another.

By bringing together the AI and Robotics communities, we aim to enhance research and development capabilities and accelerate scientific and technological progress through shared resources and collaborative efforts.

We invite researchers and industry professionals to submit poster presentations on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Neural Networks for Robotics

  • Human-Robot Interaction

  • Autonomous Robot Learning

  • Dexterous Robot Manipulation

  • Humanoid Robotics

  • Deep Reinforcement Learning Applications

  • Bio-Inspired Robotics

  • Computer Vision for Robotics

  • Trustworthy and Ethical AI

  • AI Safety and Security

We invite you to submit extended abstracts (two pages, excluding references) in PDF format through this link by August 20, 2024.

Contributions will be reviewed for quality and relevance to the workshop’s theme. Theoretical and applied papers and papers that capture best practices and lessons learned from field studies are encouraged. Submission of preliminary results would also be considered.

Authors of accepted abstracts will present their work at the workshop either as regular talks or as posters.

The workshop organizers plan to invite the authors of distinguished extended abstracts to submit a full paper of their work in internationally renowned journals (SCI, EI, and/or Scopus indexed).
