First International Workshop on Agentic Intelligence in Industry and Enterprise (AIIE 2025)
AIxB Pre-Conference Workshop, Virtual Only, September 28, 2025

This workshop will provide a focused and interactive forum for exploring the transformative impact of Agentic Artificial Intelligence on critical business domains. As Agentic AI moves from theoretical constructs to practical applications, this workshop will bring together leading academic researchers and industry practitioners to share insights on the frameworks, methodologies, and real-world use cases of agentic systems in Finance, Smart Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management. Through a blend of visionary keynotes, insightful invited talks, and a dynamic panel session fueled by attendee position statements, we will not only assess the current state of Agentic AI but also collaboratively brainstorm its future trajectory. The inaugural AIIE workshop aims to establish a vibrant community dedicated to advancing the responsible and effective deployment of Agentic AI, with an eye toward a multi-year series exploring its evolving role.

The primary focus of this workshop is on the practical application and future potential of Agentic AI in the following key sectors:

  • Finance: Exploring how autonomous agents are revolutionizing areas such as algorithmic trading, fraud detection, personalized banking, and risk management.

  • Smart Manufacturing: Investigating the use of agentic systems for optimizing production processes, predictive maintenance, quality control, and creating autonomous factories.

  • Supply Chain Management: Examining how Agentic AI can enhance logistics, inventory management, demand forecasting, and create more resilient and efficient supply chains.

The goals of the workshop are to:

  • Foster Collaboration: Bridge the gap between academic research and industry application by creating a unique opportunity for dialogue and partnership.

  • Showcase Cutting-Edge Applications: Present concrete use cases and lessons learned from the deployment of Agentic AI in our focus areas.

  • Develop Actionable Insights: Move beyond theoretical discussions to identify practical frameworks and methodologies for successful implementation.

  • Chart the Future: Collectively brainstorm and articulate a forward-looking vision for the evolution of Agentic AI in business over the next 3-5 years.

  • Build a Community: Establish a dedicated community of researchers and practitioners to continue the conversation in future editions of the workshop.

This virtual workshop is structured to foster rich discussion and collaborative exploration and will be held during the weekend prior to the main AIxB conference. The format is designed for maximum interaction and will feature a dynamic blend of sessions. The agenda will include:

  • Keynote Presentations: One or two visionary keynotes delivered by leading academics or industry pioneers who are shaping the future of Agentic AI.

  • Invited Talks: A series of focused talks from experts in Finance, Smart Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management. These sessions will delve into practical frameworks, methodologies, and compelling use cases, sharing both successes and critical lessons learned.

  • Interactive Panel Discussion: A culminating panel session designed to brainstorm the future of the field. This discussion will be uniquely structured around selected position statements submitted by attendees in advance, ensuring the conversation is driven by the community's most pressing questions and forward-thinking ideas. The workshop organizers will select a diverse range of statements to be presented and debated during the panel session, ensuring a rich and engaging discussion that reflects the collective intelligence of the attendees.

  • Presentations of papers submitted to the workshop: Contributions will be reviewed for quality and relevance to the workshop’s theme.Theoretical and applied papers and papers that capture best practices and lessons learned from field studies are encouraged. Submission of preliminary results would also be considered.

To spark a dynamic and forward-looking panel discussion, we're inviting all workshop attendees to submit a concise position statement (2-3 pages) beforehand. These statements are your opportunity to share your unique perspective on the future of Agentic AI within our focus areas.

We're particularly interested in your thoughts on:

  • What: A key challenge, opportunity, or "big idea" concerning Agentic AI.

  • Why & Why Now: The broader context explaining why this topic is crucial for our workshop audience at this moment.

  • How: Your proposed hypothesis, any preliminary outcomes you've observed, and concrete actions you believe our community should take.

Regular papers, short papers, and position statements in PDF format should be submitted through this link by August 20, 2025.

IMPORTANT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION:

  •     When submitting a paper to the AIIE Workshop, please add the acronym, "AIIE," to the keywords.

The inaugural workshop is envisioned as the first in a series. Given the rapid pace of development in this field, future workshops will build upon the foundation laid in 2025. Potential future themes include:

  • Deep Dives into more specialized sub-fields (e.g., "Agentic AI in Algorithmic Trading," "Autonomous Robotics in the Factory of the Future").

  • Cross-Industry Synergies: Exploring how learnings from one industry can be applied to others.

  • The Evolving Regulatory and Ethical Landscape for Agentic AI.

  • Human-Centric Agentic AI: Focusing on the user experience and collaborative intelligence.

By establishing this workshop as a recurring event at AIxB, we aim to create a long-term platform for innovation and collaboration at the intersection of Agentic AI and business.

This workshop is designed for a diverse audience, including:

  • Academic Researchers in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related fields.

  • Industry Practitioners, including data scientists, AI engineers, product managers, and business leaders from the finance, manufacturing, and supply chain sectors.
